DRUM MINISTRY
We use the African drum to reach out to the community and also connect with people from all spheres of life. This is for one reason, to make God known and draw people to Him. Every Friday we go to TOEVLUG, a rehabilitation Centre in Worcester in the Cape vine, where people struggling with alcohol and drug comes for help. These people are always housed for five weeks, and every week, there are new groups of patients that are being admitted. The groups are divided into adults and youth. The youth range from 12yrs old to 17years old and the adults range from 18yrs to at least 60 years old. We always have one hour each with the groups, so we use the first 45 minutes for the drum therapy, then the last 15 minutes for the sharing of the word of God and it is so amazing to see how easy to connect and preach the word of God that brings transformation. Every Friday we see people coming to Jesus in their numbers, weeping and opening for the gospel of Jesus Christ. All glory to God!
We were also involved with the Institute for the Blind, engaging them with the drums as a therapy activity. This has really given us wonderful influence in the lives of the blind people and bring out their creativities on the drum. it is so exciting seeing the blind people full of smiles and joy from their heart as a result of beating the drum, which was inspired by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are also involved with different schools, giving the pupils the opportunity to learn how to beat the drum, where they even go to competitions using the drum as one of their items to present to the judges. Before we left South Africa for Europe, we also extended the drum ministry to the Worcester Prison, both on the Male and female sides and also to some other surrounding prisons in the western Cape area. The drum always brings refreshing experiences wherever we go. We find out that people are easily connected to our drum ministry, which has given us a lot of open doors in different places that are beyond our imaginations. God is being glorified all the way and we are so grateful for that.
Presently, we are gradually introducing the drumming ministry to schools here in England and it is starting to make an impact in our community little by little! Thank you, Jesus!

"For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;
and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are the law;
to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
Now this I do for the gospel's sake, that I may be partaker of it with you." 1Corinthians 9:19-23. (NKJV).
